Is there anyway using XP Professional to lock certain folders?
I have a couple folders in Program Files that I don't want to have access to
for other users.
I used the policy editor to restrict the programs from being run in the
folders, but users can still see the icons, and I just want to lock the
whole folders.
Is that even possible in XP, or do I need to (down)upgrade to Win2K?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

In folder options - advanced, turn off Simple File Sharing.

Then, you can go to the security tab on the folder properties and limit
which users have access to that folders.

Note that you'll need to have your drive formatted with NTFS in order to
limit permissions. FAT32 is an unsecured file system for any operating
system.
