installing joystick

Does anyone have any suggestions about downloading the
program for Microsoft Precision 2 Joystick with the
Windows XP. We just purchased a new computer and the disc
will not load; it starts and just errors out. It worked
on the last system which had Windows ME. I can not figure
out if one of the downloads offered on this sight will
help.

If you have Windows XP Home Edition, the SideWinder software=20
should install and function properly. If you have Windows XP=20
Professional Edition, you will need to be a member of the=20
Administrators group in order to install and use the SideWinder =
software.

Try this Windows XP has built-in drivers for it's Sidewinder game devices.
Goto the Game Controller Control Panel
Then Add, Microsoft Sidewinder (auto-detect)...


Please note that any Profiling software that came with the gameport hardware
won't work as that was not designed for Windows XP. There are currently no
plans for updates.
