Network error

I am getting an error from the NT Authority System...it
tells me that the RPC (remote proceedure call) has
interrupted and my whole system must shut down. I am not
on a network but using a modem and ISP I cannot not
download anything for it shuts down every 3 to 10 minutes
I have shut off everthing and it still interrupts what
can I do to stop this occurance? Thanks, John

Have you been hit by a virus/hacker??? This happens when the svchost.exe
process is stopped. Could be a virus????
