Hi
I have an ADSL modem/router based on the conexant
chipset. It has been set up to lease 10.0.0.3 to
10.0.0.18 and I have only three machines on that network.
I am building a new pc and the only way I can get network
access is to statically assign 10.0.0.18 and subnet mask
255.0.0.0 etc etc.
I am installing an OEM verison of the OS that came with
the parts and there is a label on it saying "includes
service pack 1a"
The PC has only one network adapter. (It has a firewire
controller and I have disabled it - so that a firewire
based network controller is not installed)
I can't explain it - and it is bugging me :-)
Thanks
