View Full Version : Memory allotment?

Is there a way to access a record of the free memory over
a period of time? I installed a program and it seems to
have eaten up a large chunk of my memory even though I
have uninstalled and deleted. I have gone through all of
my files but i can't see to find where the memory went.I
want to confirm that i was low on memory before the
program was installed. How do I do this? Oh, and system
restore does not seem to be working...Any help is
appreciated. Thanks

Use Performance Monitor in logging mode.

Under Administrative Tools ... Performance.

See the Help in the tool for how to produce reports/logs.

Hi Bill

What specific symptoms or problems are you encountering that tells you
that System Restore is not working?

Have you tried to use System Restore and it failed to work properly?
If so, what was the actual error message that you received when you
tried to use System Restore?
Also were there available System Restore points listed when you tried
to use System Restore?

These answers will help to identify exactly what the problem is and
that should allow us to determine how best to fix it.

Good luck
