Microsoft Windows Network

First time user:

I am trying to understand the purpose of the Microsoft
Windows Network. I have a small business with 4
networked computers. I believe there are 3 Windows
networks and also believe there should not be that many?
Won't it just confuse the other users by having more than
one Windows Network?

How do I go about deleting one or two if those Windows
networks?
