View Full Version : Removing access to programs in a Limited User Account

I have my account set up with all programs accessible. I have just set
up a new (limited) account for my son to let him use the internet while
home on holiday. When I went into his account, the desktop and program
menu and systray had everything that my account has! Can someone point
me in the direction of where to find out how to remove access to all
programs other than the basics? (ie Internet Explorer and MS Word?)

Thanks

Hi,

Move the program icons from the allusers folders to your local profile.

From:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs

To:

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Desktop
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Start Menu\Programs
