I have found some legal forms that I would like to put on
my computer, so I can fill in the blanks and print. They
appear on adobe reader, but I can't type information
there....I have windows XP with Microsoft works. How do
I get it on my computer so I can fill in the blanks and
print? Is this impossible or is there a secret to
this??? I would really appreciate any help I can get
ASAP. Thanks!!!

For you to enter data on a *.pdf from with Acrobat Reader, the creator of
the form must take the time {and do the work} configuring the forms to allow
data entry.
If you install Adobe Acrobat you can edit the forms to include repetitive
information and permit data entry with Acrobat Reader by anyone in your
office you needs to fill in the form. However, Adobe Acrobat is expensive so
you need to judge the purchase. If you do decide to purchase Acrobat, wait
until June and get version 6.

Other programs exist that can create *.pdf files such as PDF Producer {do a
Google for others}, but I do not know if they have the features of Acrobat
that permit editing of forms.

If you have just a few forms, you can print the form and scan it into an
image editing program such as PictureIt or even Paint. Then use that program
to add the repetitive text and save the file. You could then use that in the
image program and add the new text as you use the form.
