View Full Version : Accessing Shared Folder Crashes Windows Explorer

Either Windows is corrupt on a basic level (unlikely), or
there is a program/service running in the background that
is screwing things up (likely). Try running msconfig from
the run line. Click selective startup and uncheck the
startup items. Press OK, reboot and try again. If it
works, then you can use msconfig to narrow down what
program is causing the problem.

Same thing with the system.ini, win.ini, and services tab,
except a greater possibility of really screwing things up
if you disable the wrong service (at the very least leave
RPC running).

Good luck.
