Hello,
I am having problems with my Windows XP laptop connecting
to my wireless network. First things first - the
connection was working over the weekend. Like an idiot, I
changed the WEP on both my wireless hub and laptop last
night. The wireless hub is working fine (I can still
access the hub from my other computers), but my windows XP
laptop can't connect.
I think the problem is with the network key. I am using a
26 character key and click 'OK' in the properties of my
preferred network.
Here is what I don't understand. Why does the Network Key
always comes back as an 8 character value? No matter what
I do, if I come back to 'Properties' it is an 8 character
value. How do I 'save' an updated network key or at
least 'reset' the value so I can enter a new WEP for
Windows to 'remember?
Thanks in advance
