View Full Version : Wireless PCI Adapter Problem

I ran into this problem with one of my machines. The
wireless adaptor *could* pick up the access point, but I
couldn't ping out!? LinkSys support claimed it was
because I installed what they called a "microsoft virus
update". They said to turn off automatic updates, which I
didn't. I did, HOWEVER, re-install XP (update keeps all
settings) and re-applied critical fixes. I did leave out
what I thought wasn't needed in XP updates. It worked
after that. Good luck.
