Is there some sort of conversion chart to finding and
doing the things one is used to doing in 98...in XP? For
example, is there any thing similar to a TASK BAR in XP?
or a DESK TOP? I tried dragging and dropping
icons....can't seem to do it. What happened to WINDOWS
EXPLORER? What took its place? Can XP be converted into
something more like 98?

XP is so much like 98 you hardly will tell the difference, especially if =
you have it set to look like 98 (Classic Mode in XP). The main =
difference is, that all of your setting and documents, etc, are saved in =
a separate folder outside of the actual WIndows folder. But if you =
decide to upgrade, I would suggest checking out if your system (hardware =
especially) is compatible with XP. You can get the upgrade advisor here,

Though there are a lot of differences, the specific things you asked about
are all there in XP, just like always.
Fastest way to Windows Explorer, btw, is to press and hold the Windows key,
then press E (Win+E). Or, as always, right-click on My Computer and click
Explore.
