Hi,
I have Norton Anti Virus 2003 installed, the problem is
if I have the option of incoming email to be checked for
viruses (which I do want on) most of my email does not
come through as it explains that there is a high
probability a virus attached to the said email, even
though it is from my friend who checks all his outgoing
email with the same programme.
As a result I have had to turn this option off in Norton
making me very vulnerable.
Can anyone help please?
Thanks.

Hi Chris,

From Outlook Express, check tools/options/security and see that the line =
"do not allow attachments..." is disabled.

You don't want any virus scanning mail. It provides no added protection in
OE6 and only causes problems. The anti-virus will still catch any virus in
it's database if you open it or try to save it.
