something knocked out several of my device drivers on my
Win XP Home system, i.e., drivers for the cd/rom, com1,
etc. I also have drivers corrupt for WAN Miniport (PPTP)
and (L2TP)listed under the network device
My network card/driver was working but during driver
recovery efforts I lost my ability to get to the network.
I have reloaded the network card driver and re-bound
TCP/IP and when I issue the command "ipconfig" I get the
reply that the command is not working "unable to query
host name"
Also a ping 127.0.0.1 gives an error.
Any ideas of what can be done
