How do I set up my notebook to automatically open a cd when I insert it into
the cd drive? Presently, when I insert a cd nothing happens and I have to
go to the directory or Start>Run> to open a cd. What the heck am I doing
wrong? Thanks in advance for all help. Fran

Hi Fran,
Right-click the drive in Windows Explorer, choose properties. Go to the =
autoplay tab and set your default actions.

Rich, I should have been more clear. I am speaking of software installation
cd's or my data back up cd's...not necessarily music or video. For example
when I insert a cd for an HP Printer installation, it does not open. Thanks
again for your help. Fran
