Hi Jerry,
Yes, you remove the associated registry entry. However, this is not =
appropriate unless the associated program has been uninstalled (not =
deleted). If the entry is not disabled properly, it will be recreated =
anyways. A disabled entry for installed software can (and should) remain =
in place as it does not affect system performance or the system boot.
Registry keys affected:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\RunOnce
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Run
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\RunOnce
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\MSConfig
