View Full Version : Sorting My Favorites Bookmarks

Hello (New User),

I just purchased a new computer and I have Microsoft
Window XP Home Edition. It seems I can't sort in sequence
my favorite files in the order I want. I would like to
sort them in alph. order from "A" to "Z" but it doesn't
work.

Is there anyone who can show me how. When I first started
to bookmark my favorites it did work but since I download
a few new software it doesn't work anymore.

Thank you,
Helma

Helma;
Normally the new favourites are at the end.
Simply go to favourites, right click anywhere and click "Sort by name"
I think it places new at the end to help you remember your new
favourites.

Do NOT open Favorites from the toolbar icon. Open them from the Favorites
menu item (or from the Start menu). Right click any Favorite and choose
Sort by Name.

Helma,

While using Internet Explorer, simply click on the "word" Favorites on =
the toolbar at the top (between the words "View", and "Tools". When you =
get the drop down list, just right click anywhere in the list, and =
choose "Sort by name".

Exactly where do you see "Favorites" in the start menu?

Jon;
Near the top of the right column.
That is if you chose that option.

WinXP:
Right click the Start button.
Click Customize.
Go to the Advanced tab and place a check mark for Favorites menu.

Thanks Jupiter, and Frank,

I was thinking of favorites being there "set by default" so to speak. as =
I knew it was in the start/properties setup. I have that off, since I =
don't use them until I use IE anyway :-).
