When we installed the upgrade from Windows 2000
Professional to Windows XP, the XP install program created
a new partition on the hard drive. So XP is installed on
drive D:

Now we want to get rid of both the old Windows 2000, and
the old Windows '98 installation, which are on drive C:
This way we can re-size the partitions with PowerQuest
Partition Magic, and give XP a larger partition to work
from.

Now we know that some of the boot files are on drive C:
So we are trying to be careful... Is there a "Uninstall"
for Windows 2000 Professional? Or Windows '98?

Hi Janet,

Sounds like you created a dual boot, so there will be no uninstall =
option (there wouldn't be with Win2000 anyways). Simply boot WinXP and =
delete the system folders for the other two OS's. Then edit boot.ini to =
remove any references to them. As you've noted, the boot files are =
probably on "C", so you have two options when you resize: 1) Leave a =
small "C" drive to retain the boot files as is or 2) run a repair =
install to "D" after removing "C" and encompassing the free space.
