Networking Oroblem

I am using a network with a server running Windows NT
With a Dos Accountig Prog.(Platinum). All the existing
machines are running Win98 SE with no problem. I recently
Purchased this Machine running XP Pro and I am having a
lot of problems trying to connect and run the software.
Are there any secrets to set this up or is it a case that
this XP will not run with NT or a dos prog. Help
Please...

the most reported issue on mixed network is name resolution. it is better to
have a wins server on the domain.
