View Full Version : Drive not recognising CDs/DVDs?

hi

I have already had some problems with playing DVDs which
incidentally is not sorted out yet. Now it seems that the
drive (CDRW/DVD ROM) is not recognising a CD or DVD.

I have gone into properties and changed the
options/actions in the autoplay tab but still nothing
happens when Cd/DVd inserted and in My Computer no files
show up on D drive as if nothing inserted.

I have managed to burn 2 CDs today but it seems that this
problem is intermittent. As I really have no-one to help
me I wondered whether it could be the drive or whether it
is me (probably) as I would need to return the drive
soonest to the shop if it is faulty.

Tks for any help
