I was told today that there was a patch available from Microsoft to
fix a bug with the new Hyper-threading in the 533 series if the 3.06
CPU from Intel.
I have looked around the Microsoft and Intel sites and cant find any
reference to a patch or even that there is a problem with the 533
series of CPU. I was told that there was an issue with this series of
chip by Game Dude Computers when I asked about why after installing
the new CPU that when playing Links LS 2001 the monitor would be
turned of, it is the only program that does that.
He also said that microsoft was having some kind of problem with the
new Hyper-threading chips and page files running out of memory?
does anybody have any ideas about any patches.
