View Full Version : Have to click user name when I turn on computer

When I turn on my computer now I have to click my users
name instead of the computer starting automatically.
Please help. Thank you.

Hi Allan,
This is probably due to the .Net framework update, remove the added user,
then check your settings here:
1. Go to Start/Run and type in: control userpasswords2 and press ok.
2. On the Users tab, clear the Users Must Enter A User Name And Password To
Use This Computer check box and then click OK.
3. In the Automatically Log On dialog box that appears, type the user name
and password for the account you want to be logged on each time you start
your computer.

You do realise that if you revert to automatic start-up then ANYONE can
access your computer and all the files on it, don't you?
