cannot find run in start up menu

I had windows me, i did have run in my start up menu but
when i installed windos xp i cannot see run in my start uo
menu. can anyone help me get run back and why do you
think it isnt there

Right click the taskbar and choose Properties. On the Start Menu page, click
Customize. Scroll through the list of options that can be add/removed from
the start menu. One of them is the Run command. Place a check next to it.
Click OK.
