Microsoft fax services

I'm having trouble getting it to NOT use "1" before
dialing a local number with area code. Is there a way to
do this? At this point in time, I can't send any faxes
for that reason.

Control Panel/Phone & Modem Options - click on Dialing rules,
highlight My Location, click Edit and check/change the settings

Try putting the area code no. in the same box as the phone no. (xxx
xxx-xxxx)
