Can not network XP with 2000

I have been trying to network my Win XP home Edition with
my Win 2000 Professional with no success. Can some body
help me please?

Hi,

Create a user with a password on the Win2k PC and then change the user name
on the XP PC to reflect the one you have created on the win2k, log on using
this user/password combination and your sorrows are over
