using the fast w/serial direct conection from a win98 to a
winxp home ed, the wizard seemsto work, says files are
being collected, the blue status completion bar advances.
After files are done it starts in on settings and the blue
bar stops moving. i waited an hour then cancelled.
Repeated process>same thing. brand new inspiron
laptop.have changed nothing. is the laptop going into
sleep/hibernation/standby and stopping the transfer? did
not disable norton antivirus but this hasnt mattered
before.

Hi Craig,

A serial connection can be exceedingly slow, and depending upon the =
amount of content, could conceivably take days to complete. Unless you =
receive an error message, then the process is probably progressing.
