Hi!
I'm running 2 Sony Viaos on a wireless LAN through my cable modem. One
downloads screamingly fast -- 300+ Kbps and the other, newer, faster machine
can only manage about 40 Kpbs. Any ideas as to how to make the slow machine
catch the other one?
Thanks in advance!

Vitamins? goto www.dslreports.com and run some speed & tweak tests and also
goto the forums and browse. You will find the answers.
Good Luck

If you are into editing the windows registry, you can find a lot of
answers at winguides.com One for MaxMTU and MaxMSS. Another for
Receivewindowsize. There are a lot of values you are going to have to
add. They are not already there. Go with their suggestions. There is
one for Menushowdelay. You will have to look. Your machine will wake
up.
