How do I uninstall XP?

Please someone help me out here! How do I uninstall XP
from a laptop when I cannot get away from the Welcome
Screen with the user names on them? I have XP on a
laptop but did not activate it in the allotted time and
now I cannot do anything on the computer? No passwords
work, nothing. I can only get the welcome screen with
user names. My computer is useless. How can I get XP
off?

To Activate Windows XP:
Reboot tapping F8 each second.
Choose Safe Mode at the menu.
Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/Activate Windows
