HI:I had a program in my old Windows 98 system for
cleaning my floppy drive, but it worked with DOS. Is
there any program that works with XP that will be useful
in cleaning my floppy drive? And if there is one, how can
I get one? Thank you. Jim Ramsey

You can create a Boot floppy disk by right-clicking on the floppy
drive icon and choosing Format, then Create MS-DOS startup disk. If
your program will fit on a floppy disk, you can run it after booting
to MS-DOS. Since cleaning the floppy drive is a mechanical
operation, why not blow compressed air into the drive to get the
dust bunnies out? You can take the drive out for better access. If
the drive fails, get a new one for $15.00 rather than buying a
program for the same price or greater.
