I have just started with XP in a new computer. Networked
to my old (W98SE) machine. So far (2 days) it has not
asked me to authenticate.
When I try to set up a new subdirectory in the C: drive,
I get 'Access denied'!!!!! Then when I invoke 'Network
Connections' the subheading 'Network Tasks' does not
appear, as it is supposed to per the Support & Help
instructions.
What is going on here? Help is urgently sought!
