I have tried for two weeks to get the connection between
my desktop and my laptop to work with internet sharing.
D-Link does not offer support. (NEVER BUY DLINK PRODUCTS,
THEY HAVE NO SUPPORT DEPARTMENT). I can network the two
computers together, however when I try to use the
Internet Connection Sharing, I cannot network the two
computers, nor do I get to share the internet. Please
advise - STEP BY STEP. I have followed the wizards and
have tried every option available. What am I missing?

I understand your frustration, but I also understand D-Link's view:
it's not their responsibility to provide support for a Windows feature
like Internet Connection Sharing.

I've written a web page that should help you get everything working:

Windows XP Internet Connection Sharing
http://www.practicallynetworked.com/sharing/xp_ics

If you have questions after reading it, please post another news group
message.
