i was trying to fix my ups, it was not reporting to my pc
but it does work. i accidentaly changed my ups setting in
control panel to use com3. my ups is USB and i can not
connect it to com3. my computer hybernates. within a few
seconds of waking it goes back to hybernate. how can i
override the hybernate so that it doesnt keep turning off
everytime i turn it on??

While the BIOS is POSTing, keep hitting F8. This will display an option to
either resume from hibernation or do a full system reboot. One issue you may
have is the system is thinking the UPS is declaring a low battery condition,
hence the system is hibernating. Make sure you disconnect the UPS USB
connector.
