Installing Linksys wireless wmp54g on xp home edition

Installed new card and software three times with new
cards and cd discs.Gone thru technical help from Linksys
but they can t solve problem of no connection. All
devices say they are workingbut no connection.
Separate laptop running on same system connects and even
from greater distance.
Anybody have any ideas what is wrong or where to look.

Look in the linksys router configuration utility and see if mac
address filtering is enabled. If you can see the SSID of the router
but cannot connect, this could be your problem.

If so, you will have to add the MAC address of the linksys card to the
table in the router.
