Little Red Cross

Dear all,

XP Home Edition.

I have recently noticed that all the .gif icons in the
help and support files have disappeared to be replaced
with a little red cross.

I have also noticed that since I have found this a number
of .gif pictures coming down from the web have the same
cross rather than the picture. .jpeg pictures appears to
be ok. Any ideas what is causing this problem ot have do
I resolve it.

Also when I close down the system I get and error message
re dwwin.dll cannot be found. I have learned that this is
relevant to error reporting, Can I find and reload this
file anywhere.

All help will be greatly appreciated.
