I bought XP Home on eBay. Yes, I realize now that was a
mistake. Is there any support anywhere for black market
CD's. It's very upsetting to me that Microsoft will allow
millions of copies ot their program to be distributed with
no appearant support. I can't even get the Files and
Transfer Wizard to work. Thanks for any help from anyone.

Hi,
Microsoft didn't allow it, and you propogated it by purchasing such a =
unit. If you got a bad burn, you are SOL and will need to purchase a =
regular retail disk (which, non-coincidentally, provides for a certain, =
reasonable amount of free support).

Hi,
Sorry for your misfortune, but I cannot believe you post a question about
"support for black market MS XP cds on a Microsoft NG. Maybe you can contact
EBay and report the thief (because that's what cd piracy is) and get some
satisfaction? Ya never know.

Microsoft does NOT "allow millions of copies ot their program to be
distributed with no appearant support"
If it is a black market product, it is not a Microsoft product.
Why should Microsoft give even the least amount of support.
It is not their product, Microsoft has no way of knowing what the
thief modified in the OS.
You need to immediately report this to Ebay and Microsoft:
http://www.microsoft.com/piracy/reporting/default.asp
Ebay and Microsoft will both be very interested in the facts you have
to offer.
You are further supporting this illegal activity if you do not report
it to Microsoft and Ebay.
Without reporting, the thieves are able to continue their illegal
activity.
