I would like to know if anyone can help me out id like to
set my comp to run programs on shortcuts like f1 say aol
or f2 webshots if anyone can help me with this problem id
really appriciate it alot ive even looked in the windows
dummy book ,and havent found much help at all

Right click the shortcut - Properties - enter the key. F1 is a really =
poor choice of keys. If you enter it it will pop up help then assign F1 =
to the shortcut. Bye bye help.
Note the shortcuts MUST be on the desktop or Start menu.=20

Another two alternatives are buy a Logitech keyboard or download Advanced
Launcher.

There are a bunch of reserved keys, be sure not to use the
reserved keys or you will have problems...often it is a good
idea use a two-key key, such as alt/p
I think that if you browse to the program files and right
click on an executable file, select send to desktop shortcut
and then you right click on the new shortcut, select
properties and then set your choice of keys.
