I had window 98 before XP. I could hit ctrl alt and
delete, it would tell me what programs were running. If
I wanted to end a task I could. but on Windows XP It
doesn't tell you what programs are running and you have
to end AoL to get rid of a frozen game, etc. Is there any
way to fix my problem. Thanks

Hi Viola,
Try ctrl+shift+escape, and if you don't see all four or five tabs, =
double-click at the edge of the window you do see. There should be one =
for applications, processes, performance, networking, and possibly =
users.

When I do Ctrl-Alt-Delete it tells me what programs are running. Most are
listed under the Applications tab, but some are under the Processes tab.
This is with both WinXP Home and WinXP Pro.
