I am administering 2 Lans using Jet stream and Routers
and either a
Nokia 1122 or SpeedTouch Pro ADSL set to DHCP. I am also
using some Win2Kpro & WinXPpro PCs.

The problem is all WIN XP Pro PCs need to be restarted
every few hours to keep them with access to the internet.

I am unable to tell if this is because of going into
standby, IP change by Telecom ect or some other?

When this happens I can get a web page to load if i know
the IP address of the page. But if I try and type the www
address i.e. www.stuff.co.nz it will not load. A restart
fixes this for awhile untill it goes off again.

The Network settings in each of the PCs are to auto
config & Lan

The funny thing is the Win2K PCs are fine and never need
to be rebooted.

I have also tried ipconfig /release and then
ipconfig /renew to reset with the DHCP router but it does
not work. The router resets the IP address but I still
can not get as web page to load. I can ping outside IPs
no problem though!!

Ideas would be apprecated
