I have tried adjusting the screen using the monitor's
buttons, but when the screen is at 800x600, the buttons
simultaneously reach their 'limit' to which I can adjust
them, rendering them obsolete.

Billy,

Have you made sure that you are running the latest video controller drivers
for your video card (check mfr's Website) and properly set the your system
for the monitor you are using?

Both of these usually will clear up a problem such as you report.

Hi,

You havent mentioned the size of your monitor. In same
cases changing the screen resolution will cause the image
to be larger or smaller than the monitor size. You will
have to use the buttons on your monitor to adjust the
horizontal and vertical postion till the image is
properly seen on ur monitor.
