running xp pro from home and work. I am the administrator
on a netgear dsl router that allows for VPN and also
uplinks to a 24 port switch. I set the port on remote
management to 1723 on the router and created a VPN
connection, but it won't connect. I can log in to the
work router from home and make changes, but i can't get
into the work network to access the computers. I only
need to access my computer at work. How do I set that up.
My router also has a static ip.

Your company needs to provide VPN access to your corporate network.
Alternatively if the company lets Terminal Services go out through the
firewall you can setup your home network to be remotely accessed.
