View Full Version : degraded video image

I upgraded several weeks ago to Windows XP Home from
Windows ME.

I am running a DELL Dimension 4100 desktop, purchased
July 2001.

The upgrade appeared to go without problems. However,
I've started noticing that the video display is
degrading. I'm running IE6, and the text letters on the
web pages appear somewhat faded, with dropouts. On the
Windows XP notification area, the icon for volume has
become fuzzy. Other icons are clear.

Any idea what's going on? Is it a compatibility issue?

Thanks much.

Your video adapter drivers make be corrupt. Visit the Dell
support website and download/install the latest drivers for
your specific model Dell computer. Make sure to uninstall
the old one first.
