Hi,
Few things left to fix after removing the backdoor virus and few parasites. By following Kelly's suggestion in renaming regedit.exe to ..com I am now able to get into regedit as well as msconfig. I guess there is some sort of connection there. yes?
btw, typing regedit.exe at Start/Run produces same error I had before. The reg window would come up and then close it self. Weird !!!
Question: What would happen if I remove the regedit.exe, rename regedit.com to .exe? Is it safe to do that? Will the registry stay functional?
One more item I've noticed that isn't working is Ctrl-Alt-Del... it's working the same way that regedit use to. How can I fix that? Many thanks.
