Resolution Problem

This may be true, however it seems that my monitor's
buttons aren't constant. In other words, for example - at
1152x864, the horizontal size can still be expanded or
contracted. But as soon as I switch to 800x600 and
attempt to contract the horizontal size, I find that the
it has been already decreased to its minimum, evn though
the screen is still cropped off.
