adsl router problem

hi all
i will try to explain my problem
i have a pc and a laptop and a dsl/modem/router and i
want to have both pcs connected to each other and also to
have both internet, both pcs are running win xp pro i am
trying for days with wizards but i cant do it can someone
pls tell me the procedure that i have to follow?

Run XP's Network Setup Wizard on both pcs. Tell the Wizard that they
connect to the Internet through a residential gateway (router).
