When I log on a box appears on the screen asking user
name and password..how do I delete this from appearing?
In reading it states in control panel under change the
way users log on or off..I must enable client service
network..I can not find this either. Please help me?
Thanks

Do you want to automatically log on (thus making the login box not to
appear) when WinXP startt up? If so: Click Start/Run and type 'control
userpasswords2' (without quotes) and press ENTER. On the resulting window,
uncheck the option 'User must enter a user name and password to use this
computer'. Click OK and provide the user id & password that WinXP should use
to automatically log on.

If you want to switch to WinXP style welcome screen instead of classic Logon
screen: Click Start/Run and type 'control userpasswords' (without quotes)
and press ENTER. On the resulting window, click 'Change the way user logs on
and off' and check the 'Use the welcome screen' option
