Rick,
This is the complete question.
Two of the methods you've learned for moving files
between folders are the drag and drop method and the cut
and paste method. Can you think of any situations in
which you could not drag to move a file in Windows
Explorer? In such a situation, what should you do
instead?
Thanks Rick

Hi Sam,

Well, if the file is in use, then you cannot drag & drop. You would have =
to kill the process using it before you are allowed to move it.

I really stink at homework though, so even if that's the wrong answer, I =
would argue that it is a valid point and fits the criteria stated. Other =
situations where D&D is not recommended:

- moving program folders
- moving virtual memory (pagefile.sys)

If a file is in use it cannot be moved. End the process it belongs to if
possible. Some files are not active in Safe Mode. May be possible to move
the file there.

Alternative: Copy the file. A right click Drag and Drop will pop up a menu
when you release the mouse button. Select Copy Here.
