Currently I have a REAL Windows 2000 Pro and I would like
to upgrade to a REAL XP Pro. However, I'm wondering if
I'll be able to set up my other computer with XP as well,
just as I do with my single copy 2000 Pro (says 2 user
lisence on the CD)?

These are just my personal computers for my home, nothing
special... well, to the rest of the world, that is :)

Rob.

Rob;
Look at the CD closely.
Does it say "2 user licence"?
Or does it say "1-2 CPU"?
1-2 CPU still means one computer, but that one computer can use one or
two CPUs.
Windows XP Pro is the same.
One license, one computer, the way it has always been with all
consumer Microsoft OSs.
If you want Windows XP on 20 computers, you need to buy 2 copies.

Read the EULA you agreed to on the Windows 2000 CD.

Sorry, I know it was a typo, but I just couldn't let it pass. =)
Obviously what Jupiter meant was that if you want Windows XP on 2
computers, you need to buy 2 copies. If you wanted it on 20 computers you
would need to buy 20 copies.

Wow, interesting deal.
1 license, one computer.
2 licenses, 20 computers.
Sounds good to me.
Unfortunately the 20 should have been 2 as you caught.
Hopefully the OP was not confused.
