Until now have had a windows 98 peer to peer network
consisting of 5 desk top stations (running under windows
98) and a laptop (running under windows nt 4). It has
worked very well.
Last week I replaced one of the desk top station with a
Dell 2350 (running under Windows xp). The problem is that
the Dell does not see any of the other desk top stations
and viceversa. The interesting thing here is that the
laptop (which is running under windows nt4) does see the
new Dell and the new Dell can also see the laptop. Could
it be that windows xp can automatically see windows nt4
but not windows 98?
