LAN CONNECTION SHUTS OFF WHEN COMP. GOES INTO STANDBY

My LAN connection shuts off when my computer goes into
standby. How would I make it so the connection stays on
when my computer goes into standby? I have a Toshiba
Satellite notebook.

You can not. When system goes to standby, network cards *must* go to power-off. state too, and in
this state they are not working. This is why your connection "shuts off".
Some adapters have wake-up capability, but even so they will not function normally in standby.
