accessing A drive

i cant seem to access my A drive since installing windows
xp...it is not listed on my computer and when i put a
floppy in the driver nothing happens...helppppppp !!!

Power off your computer,unplug it, and reseat the ribbon cable and power
plug paying close attention to its orientation.
